The NFT I selected is the “Jubilance” series by PJ. Below is Jubilance 3. It was actually quite hard to find NFT art that was specifically labelled as being created with 3D modeling, as a lot of what appeared to be 3D modeling was actually all AI generated art. I am in general not a big fan of AI art or the environment around it, since AI art has become an aspect of “cryptobro” culture at this point. I wanted to find art that a person had put effort into creating themselves and had learned how to use a program in order to create, rather than writing prompts. I hope that the limited information included on this piece’s profile is accurate and it is in fact 3D modeling, or I will be much less impressed. This series involves a lot of organic shapes and bright colors. Although the pages for this work don’t contain a lot of information about how it’s made, such as the program, I can tell by the glossy sheen of the shapes that if this was done in blender it probably given a glass material and has the material roughness turned down to make it look smooth and slippery like blown glass. It also has some rim lighting, like what was described in the doughnut tutorial. The orbs and similar shapes could have been made with sculpting from primitives like the Icosphere.
